Bank Holiday Food Porn!

I feel like I owe the lovely staff at Black’s Burgers in Epsom a mahoosive apology; what with starting a new job & all, I neglected writing this post. However I am back & ready to force feed you all (so to speak) with a new, mouth-watering post filled with juicy burgers and creamy milkshakes!

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY!
The boyfriend & I ventured into Epsom for a little day out & a breather away from the hustle and bustle of London/work/family/stresses/etc. Usually the way things work for us is I find a restaurant I’m interested in, drag the mister along & it’s full bellies all round! Slightly different story this time round; my boyfriend had previously visited Black’s Burgers with his mum a few weeks before & was only too keen to introduce me to it’s succulent delights!

http://blacksburgers.co.uk/ is the site you’re looking for! There are only two options to choose from though, Epsom or Purley – if you’re a little far out from these areas, trust me, it is definitely worth it! We received nothing less than perfect service from the staff and utterly, delicious food from the chefs!

After browsing the menu we decided on our order; starting off with halloumi chunks to share, the “Smoky Pig” burger for me with sweet potato fries & the “Juicy Lucy” burger with fries for my boyfriend, all washed down with our two milkshakes, mine being peanut butter & banana, Ralf’s being white chocolate – divine!

what did the Greek cheese say when he looked in the mirror? HALLOUMI!

It really is as good as it looks! The burgers are gorgeous & incredibly filling, so make sure you’re fully prepped!

Here’s what Ralf had…

Now, a burger that has cheese stuffed inside the patty requires a close-up if you ask me.
Ask & you shall receive…

CHEEEEEEESE!!!!
CHEEEEEEESE!!!!

What an absolute beauty!

We had such a brilliant experience at Black’s in Epsom from the minute we stepped inside. A bit like Nandos, you take note of your table number & make your way to the bar to order. Whilst I was ordering I got chatting to our server, Joshua, about how I hadn’t been here before but had heard of it & been very keen to try. Knowing this, Joshua was extremely helpful with his recommendations & letting me in on the secret of what his favourites are, which is always great for a first-timer! I mentioned to Joshua that I would be blogging about Black’s as it’s quite a small brand, something he showed a lot of interest in.

If you’re wanting a chilled out meal with top quality food and service to match, I would thoroughly recommend a visit! I loved that the music was a load of our old 90’s favourites, adding a perfect atmosphere to the chilled-out environment.

Something I absolutely must mention is that during our meal, Ralf & I noticed Joshua heading towards us with a plate of food – we had everything we asked for & therefore carried on with our conversation whilst stuffing our faces (of course!). The next thing we knew, a plate of deep fried halloumi was presented to us along with an apology… Joshua was under the impression that originally we had waited too long for our ordered-starter of grilled halloumi & this was their way of making it up to us. I mean come on, where else would you get that calibre of service? What a babe of a bloke!

EXCLUSIVE deep fried halloumi!
EXCLUSIVE deep fried halloumi!

“Why ‘exclusive’?” I hear you ask? Because these bad boys aren’t even on the menu yet! As a huge cheese lover, I was beyond ecstatic. Of course we tried to tell Joshua that we didn’t feel like we waited too long at all, but hey, we were brought up well enough to know that if someone offers you a gift (in our case a plate of glorious, deep fried cheese) you bloody well accept it.
Thanks!!

Will I be visiting Black’s Burgers again? Without a doubt!
Should you go? YES! What are you waiting for?!
